Arriving at the paved parking lot, you can go to the handicap-accessible wooden ramp that leads to a large deck with surrounding seating overlooking Kitty Hawk Bay.
Ancient live oaks partially shade the deck, providing cool shaded areas on the deck. The shallow waters of Kitty Hawk Bay almost beckon one to splash, play, and swim. The narrow sound front beach that extends to the deck's right provides access to Kitty Hawk Bay.
Please remember that your dog must be on a leash at all times. There are also free doggie poop bags a little to the right of Windgrass Circle Park at the Wright Brothers Multi-use Path entrance. You must clean up after your pet.
Windgrass Circle Park is open from 9 am until One-Half Hour After Sunset.
