This Annual Memorial Day Weekend Yard Sale benefits and helps fund:
Friends of Felines - Cape Hatteras Island is a 501 (c) (3) status, all-volunteer organization established in 2009, Dedicated to TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). It operates solely on donations from the public, small grants, and fundraisers.
Friends of Felines - Cape Hatteras Island are the caregivers of the feral cat colony on Hatteras Island. Food, Medical, and Population Control are priorities.
There is also a mystery and association of the feral cat colony on Cape Hatteras Island that traces to the Lost Colony on Roanoke Island. If you have not read "The Lost Colony Cats" & "Have the Lost Colony Cats been found?" please look. What do you think?
There are two large TNR (Trap Neuter & Release) Clinics held annually by Friends of Felines - Cape Hatteras Island, one in the Spring and one in the Fall.
Seventy cats went through the April Spring TNR Clinic. In the most current TNR Clinic in October, Eighty-two cats went through the clinic, 36 females and 46 males. Thus, 2021 saw One hundred fifty-two successful TNR operations.
Donations can easily be made online on the Friends of Felines - Cape Hatteras website https://fofhi.org/; all help is greatly appreciated and enables the continued work of Friends of Felines - Cape Hatteras.
