George Washington Creef Memorial Park, also known as George Washington Creef Park, horrors the memory of George Washington Creef (1829 - 1917).

George Washington Creef was an Outer Banks carpenter and famed boat builder that is credited as being the original designer and builder of the Shad Boat after the Civil War. The Shad Boat contributed significantly to the maritime industry.

The George Washington Creef Memorial Park's shaded manicured lawn is a welcoming location along the waterfront of Manteo, NC. This Park is adjacent to the Roanoke Island Maritime Museum, located inside the George Washington Creef Boathouse. The Park overlooks Shallowbag Bay and allows a view of the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse.
