Historic Corolla Park

 

Historic Corolla Park is centrally located in the Village of Corolla, on the Beaches of Currituck. In addition to being free and open to the public park, Historic Corolla Park grounds are also Pet-Friendly. Your pet must be on a leash & you must clean up after your pet.

There is a vast parking area, picnic areas, restrooms & a boat ramp within the park. As well as the enormous green park lawn that hosts numerous outdoor events, four attractions draw visitors to this park.

1. The Currituck Beach Lighthouse, first lit in 1875, continues to shine bright today.


2. The Whalehead Club ceria 1920's opulent restored residence built by Mr. & Mrs, E.C, Knight, Jr. is a crowning jewel of architecture and is now a museum to be explored.


3, The Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, located within Historic Corolla Park, offers indoor & outdoor attractions for visitors.


4. Currituck Maritime Museum is the newest addition to Historic Corolla Park.
Located across from the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Currituck Maritime Museum opened its doors to the public on July 16th, 2021.
