So, Is an Annual Dog License required in Currituck County, NC?
Currituck County, NC, is part of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. All counties & towns on the OBX have different rules & regulations regarding dogs & pets.
Where some residents of the Outer Banks are gathering up their vaccination certificates & preparing to register for annual dog tags, Currituck County has no annual county registration for dog tags.
Currituck County does require that all dogs have a current rabies tag securely attached to their dog's collar at all times. Pet Cats are also required to be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations but are exempt from wearing a collar at all times.
