Social Distancing at the Nags Head Dog Park

Before you enter the parking lot for the Dare County Recreation Park and Nags Head Dog Park, located at 227 W. Satterfield Landing Rd. in Nags Head, NC, you will see a sign posted at the entrance.

The big blue "Dog Park" sign is great, letting us know that we have found our destination. But the White Social Distancing sign beneath the Dog Park sign is a supple reminder that Covid-19 is still with us. Please do maintain a safe distance from others as advised.

The dog park in Nags Head is maintained by the Town of Nags Head and opened it's gates to the public in the summer of 2017.

This dog park does not require a registration and is open and free to the public. The park hours are 1 hour before Sunrise to 1 hour after Sunset.

Nags Head Dog Park rules are posted at the park and on the Town of Nags Head's website. The Town of Nags Head has created an informative web page that not only includes directions, advanced notice of rules, but a great video of the Nags Head Dog Park.
