Bone marrow transplant on Cancer -stricken Dog

NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine is the first in the Nation to offer cancer stricken pets the bone marrow transplant procedure. To date three procedures have been preformed.

 WRAL.com recently wrote an article about Maverick, a six year old Weimaraner who had a diagnoses of leukemia. Maverick was the third animal to under go the bone marrow transplant procedure at the NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
