Surfing Santa Pet Photos CANCELLED

Notice received on November the 27th 2009 from Miss Susan the owner of Salty Paws Homemade Biscuits in Kitty Hawk, NC.

"Please remove pictures with surfing Santa from the events calendar. We have cancelled the event."

To clarify the Pampered Pets Guide questioned if both dates were cancelled before we posted as to avoid any confusion.

Reply received on November 29th 2009 from Miss Susan confirmed total cancellation, please see additional quote.

"Both dates are cancelled."

The Surfing Santa / Santa pet photo event was scheduled to benefit the Coastal Humane Society      

December the 13th 2009 for the Surfing Santa

and December 19th 2009 for the regular Santa.

This Outer Banks Pet Event was published and promoted in Vol. 7 of the Pampered Pets Guide as well as promoted by Pampered Pets Guide, since May of 2009.

Smitty finds a New Home!

Smitty is a Dachshund that was taken to the Dare County Animal Shelter operated by the Outer Banks SPCA when his single elderly human companion passed away.

Being a small community the word of Smitty's plight spread fast. There were a number of families ready to adopt Smitty. Smitty actually stayed at the shelter for a few weeks for the Outer Banks SPCA to assess the right placement for Smitty's new home.

Many of our readers will remember "Beau" a Long Haired Miniature Dachshund that celebrated his 19th Birthday on February 5th 2009 and later passed away on Saturday, May 30th 2009.

The Pampered Pets Guide is so happy to announce that Smitty was placed with Beau's family.

Smitty is an only pet currently being loved, pampered & spoiled. He happily resides in the town of Manteo on Historic Roanoke Island with his new forever family.
