Happy Birthday Josh!

This is Josh; he is a neutered "Min-Pin" Miniature Pinscher that has been a resident of Historic Roanoke Island since he was only a few months old.

Josh is the alpha dog and oldest pet in his family.
Josh's family consist of a younger 6 year old German Shepherd, that Josh helped raise from a puppy, a 4 year old new adoption addition of a sister that is a miniature rat terrier & three cats.

Two of the cats Josh helped raised from kittens. The third was a black cat left by renters that Josh’s human Mom & Dad brought home & adopted over 7 years ago. Josh has been nicknamed the "little Sheriff" by his human mom & dad because Josh keeps everyone in line.

On January 16th 2009, Josh turned 11 years old & had a special turkey dinner with his family.

Pampered Pets Guide "Pet Friendly Weddings" article published

The Outer Banks Wedding Association had its annual Wedding Expo January 10th & 11th 2009.

The Outer Banks Bride magazine was given to all attendees. Some of our readers will remember "Danny, Megan & Jill pose for Pampered Pets Guide Ad"

The Pampered Pets Guide provided the Outer Banks Bride magazine the below published article; Pet Friendly Weddings CAN I COME TOO?? SURE YOU CAN!

Pet friendly weddings are quickly becoming the new trend. In fact 70% if families in the US have dogs and, according to the American Kennel Club, nearly 20% of dog owners are including their dogs in their wedding plans.

They are being joined in this by celebrities like Tori Spelling, who included her pug "Mimi", as her flower girl in her wedding. Adam Sadler also included his two bull dogs in his wedding party.

There are many pet friendly venues on the Outer Banks, the most popular being the oceanfront beach. There are many pet friendly hotel/motel accommodations as well as over 2,000 pet friendly cottage home rentals and over 200 of those are pet friendly event and wedding homes. Once you have decided to include your pet, it is appropriate to notify your guest, and we recommend booking a grooming appointment. A good bath will help keep allergens down and also pamper your special friend.
