Greater Coastal Canine Academy - Expanding!

Coming to the Greater Coastal Canine Academy this Fall...

After ten months in business we are already in the process of expanding. We have taken on another 800 square feet in order to add a day/stay center for the dogs. This addition includes a quiet time area, and a new separate play area. Fully staffed your dogs will enjoy playtime, and long walks. This addition will also include space for dogs that stay for intensive training. Intensive training is offered to those dogs that have special needs and require special one on one attention. We are currently still under construction and are hoping to have the Day/Stay Center open early September. We are taking registration now for the fall, and an evaluation is required prior to signing up.

We have also included in our expansion more retail space. More room has been added for a unique collection of soft plush squeaky toys that we have recently discovered. They are unique in that they are pretty close to the real thing. Skunks, squirrels and racoons. They entice any dogs natural instinct. Also unique about them is they are made with a tough guard lining. Although I would not say they are indestructible, they have proven themselves successful by even our most rugged chewers.

Over the course of the next few months we will be bringing in more new toys and specialty treats.
Our nutrition center will also expand. Because our belief is to provide all the dogs with the best nutrition we wanted more room to be able to offer more specialty foods and supplements. We have just added the Natural Balance line of Allergy foods to our existing line of all natural products.

And last but not least..... AGILITY!!!! We are very lucky to be able to welcome Becky Kendrick a seasoned AKC competitor bring her strengths to the Greater Coastal Canine Academy. Becky will working with us to put together an AKC kennel club. This club will be for those that want to continue obedience training or do agility training. Our goal is to provide our students an opportunity to continue on with their previous training through club events. The Agility program will be offered to anyone interested in this fun dog sport. Rally obedience will also be offered. If you are interested in being a part of a club please contact the training facility. Rules and restrictions apply. Applications will be available mid September.

I want to send a special thank you to all or our furry friends and their humans for making our training center such a big success. We look forward to seeing everyone for our RE-Grand Opening when the construction is finished.

Thanks again, Ellen Carey & Staff
