PJ's Elite Thrift Store Leads New Currituck Animal Shelter Donations

With an extremely generous donation of $1,000.00, PJ's Elite Thrift Store in Currituck has kicked off the Pledge and Donation Drive for a new Currituck County Animal Adoption Center!P. J. Hobert, store owner, has always been an animal lover and makes frequent donations to the Animal Shelter to help provide for the needs of the animals.

The Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc., a non-profit organization which operates the Currituck Animal Shelter, just began a Donation and Pledge Drive to establish a Building Fund that will help provide needed items when the new Animal Adoption Center is built. All donations to ALAL are tax deductible. Donors at the $150. level will receive a custom-designed bumper sticker that reads: "Currituck Animal Adoption Center Donor", and a 4" custom hand-painted cartoon style ceramic tile of their pet, painted by award winning artist Jackie Zagon. The donor will have the priviledge of hanging the tile in the new Adoption Center as a tribute to his beloved pet.

At the $300. donation or pledge level in addition to the custom bumper sticker, the donor may receive either two Jackie Zagon custom-painted ceramic tiles of their pets or one larger tile, which may be displayed inside the new Animal Adoption Center. Later, donation guidelines that provide for specific memorials may be set for donors who wish to name a room or sponsor a special item in the new facility. The Animal Lovers Assistance League hopes that these opportunities will be inspirational in providing for ways to benefit the many animals that the new facility will assist in the long term while providing a meaningful tribute to a beloved family pet.
