Hyde County Spay & Neuter Clinic UP-DATE

The Hyde County Spay & Neuter Clinic on December 3rd 2008 at the Hyde County Animal Shelter, located at 9300 N. Lake Rd. in Fairfield, NC was a success.

The Spay & Neuter Clinic started a 9am
and at the conclusion
8 Cats had been Spayed
3 Cats had been Neutered
2 Dogs had been Neutered

If you were unable to schedule your pet for this clinic & want to be put on the list to be contacted when the next clinic is scheduled, please contact Animal Control Officer JM Eakes at 252-542-0807

Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc. visits the Beaufort County Animal Shelter

Nancy van Clief, Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc. Board member, visited the Beaufort County Animal Shelter.

The Currituck County Animal Shelter is rapidly outgrowing their small shelter, which will be bulldozed when the neighboring airport expands. Efforts are underway to enlist the assistance of the county to build a new larger progressive 21st century shelter.

Ginger & Nancy visited the Beaufort County Animal Shelter in an effort to learn more about
the new architecture & operations of a new shelter.

Sandy Woolard, Chief Officer of the “Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility" in Beaufourt County welcomed The Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc. and provided a special tour of the facility. Betsy Bailey Nelson left $750,000.00 in her will to the Beaufort County Animal Control toward the construction of this new facility.

Extended Hours Today at the Currituck County Animal Shelter


The Animal Lovers Assistance Leauge, Inc. operators of the Currituck County Animal Shelter have announced extended Hour Today at the Currituck County Animal Shelter.


A note from Ginger Sikes, President of the Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc.


"Santa's helpers will be on hand to help select that special family addition. Upon request and with a properly executed Adoption Contract and payment of the Adoption Fee, selected animals with be held until December 24th."

Special note for those animals not adopted, on December 25th the shelter will be closed but the care giver staff & volunteers will come & give each animal a special toy & treat.

Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc. Holiday Wish List


The Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc. operators of the Currituck County Animal Shelter has the following Holiday Wish List They would like to have:

cat and dog toys, especially various sizes of Kongs for the dogs;
cat and dog treats;
a 10' x 10' outside dog kennel, which we want to convert for the pleasure of our cats;
Cat and kitten food, dry or canned;
Kitty litter;
blankets;
dog sweaters in assorted sizes so that we can let even short-haired dogs
have some fresh air outside while we're cleaning.

Mostly though, what we would really like are: ALL OF OUR ANIMALS GOING TO
GOOD HOMES!
