Currituck County’s New Animal Shelter Plans make Front Page News

Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc

Ginger Sikes, President of the Animal Lovers Assistance League, Inc., operators of the Currituck County Animal Shelter, recently presented new plans to County Commissioners to provide Currituck County with a New 21st Century Animal Shelter. These plans made front page news in the Daily Advance newspaper.

Ginger Sikes stated: “We made a big presentation to our County Commissioners on Monday re: new shelter. There's an article on 12/18 with a picture of the new shelter on the front page, top headline in the Daily Advance.

It's a good article but misquotes me. I said that it would be one of the best shelters in surrounding counties, not the best in the country! And we've worked on this for 2 yrs., not a couple of weeks.”
