Friends of Pooh Foundation


Friends of Pooh Foundation is a, A501(c) 3 organization established to provide financial assistance to qualified Outer Banks residents seeking cancer treatment for their canine of feline.

Friends of Pooh Foundation was founded by Robin & Kevin Carey owners of Outer Barks, located in Duck, NC. Robin & Kevin lost two of their beloved pets to cancer in 2006, Tigger & Winnie.

The goal of Friends of Pooh is to provide financial support & educational resources to permanent residents of Currituck & Dare County as well as Ocracoke Island
residents with documented need of financial assistance for the following treatments;

Surgical removal of malignant tumors;
Chemotherapy treatment (oral or injectible or combination of both)
